Privacy Policy

The privacy and security of your personal information is extremely important to us. This privacy policy explains how and why we use your personal data, to make sure you stay informed and can be confident about giving us your information.

We securely store your data for the sole purpose of providing you with the benefits of membership for which you have paid. This includes managing the collection of your subscription and sending you Bulletins, Journals and other information about Society events either by post or email. Under GDPR we use “legitimate interest” as the basis for holding this data.

We only hold data that you supply to us including name, address, email address, membership type and subscription status.

We transfer your name and address by secure, encrypted data exchange software to our mailing house for the despatch of postal mailings.

For members who pay by Direct Debit we transfer bank and payment amount details via a secure BACS process in order to collect annual subscriptions. The data transferred for these transactions does not include anything else that would identify a member’s address or other personal data.

Otherwise we do not share your details with any other organisation.

If you require any further information about our data processing or have any concerns about this policy please contact the Membership Administrator in the first instance.
